Product Description
Broad-spectrum systemic + contact fungicide for crop disease control. Carbendazim 12 Mancozeb 63 WP combines two proven modes of action Carbendazim moves systemically inside the plant and stops fungal cell division, while Mancozeb forms a protective contact layer on leaves, stems, and fruit. One spray, dual protection, wider disease coverage.
Mode of Action
Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP works through a dual-action mechanism systemic + contact.
- Carbendazim (Systemic) is absorbed by the plant and moves through the xylem. It binds to fungal β-tubulin, disrupting cell division and stopping fungal growth from inside the plant. Curative action.
- Mancozeb (Contact) stays on the leaf and fruit surface and inhibits multiple enzyme sites in fungal cells, preventing spore germination and new infection. Protective action.

When to Use

Why the Carbendazim + Mancozeb Combination Works
Single-molecule fungicides build resistance fast. The 12 63 fungicide combo hits fungi from two anglessystemic kill from inside + contact shield from outside. Wider disease coverage, slower resistance build-up, fewer sprays per crop cycle. One product replaces two separate fungicide applications, reducing labour and input cost.
For situations needing only systemic action, see Carbendazim 46.27% SC. For pure contact protection, use Mancozeb 75% WP. For tougher downy mildew and late blight pressure, Metalaxyl 8% + Mancozeb 64% WP and Copper Oxychloride 50% WP are stronger alternatives.
Spray Tips for Better Results
- Spray during early morning or late evening never under direct hot sun.
- Use clean water and a flat fan or hollow cone nozzle for uniform coverage.
- Cover both upper and lower leaf surfaces.
- Add a sticker/spreader if leaves are waxy (cabbage, onion, gourds).
- Do not spray before expected rain within 4–6 hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Carbendazim 12 Mancozeb 63 WP used for?
It controls fungal diseases such as blight, blast, anthracnose, sheath blight, leaf spot, rust, downy mildew, and powdery mildew across paddy, wheat, potato, tomato, chilli, grapes, soybean, and groundnut.
2. What is the dose of Carbendazim and Mancozeb fungicide?
Standard foliar dose is 2 grams per litre of water, or about 400 grams per acre in 200 litres of water.
3. Can Carbendazim Mancozeb be used as seed treatment?
Yes. Use 2.5–3 grams per kg of seed before sowing to control soil-borne and seed-borne fungi like damping off, smut, and root rot.
4. How often should Carbendazim Mancozeb be sprayed?
Every 10–15 days during active disease pressure. Maximum 2–3 sprays per crop cycle.
5. Does Carbendazim Mancozeb control bacterial diseases?
No. It is a fungicide effective against fungal diseases only, not bacterial or viral infections.
6. Can it be mixed with other pesticides?
Compatible with most insecticides and fungicides except strongly alkaline products. Always perform a jar test before tank-mixing.
7. What is the difference between Carbendazim 12 + Mancozeb 63 WP and Mancozeb 75 WP?
Mancozeb 75 WP is contact-only and protective. The 12 63 combination adds systemic curative action through Carbendazim, making it stronger when disease is already present.
8. Is there a bio-fungicide alternative?
Yes. For organic and IPM programs, see our Bio-Fungicides range Trichoderma, Pseudomonas, and Bacillus subtilis-based options.
