Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG is a water-soluble granular insecticide that controls caterpillars, fruit borers, and bollworms in crops. It works through contact and stomach action and penetrates leaf tissue to reach hidden pests. It is registered for use on cotton, chilli, tomato, okra, cabbage, pigeon pea, paddy, and other vegetables in India.
Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG targets lepidopteran pests, insects that damage crops in their larval stage. Spray when larvae are at early stage (first or second instar) for best results.

Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG works through both contact and stomach action. After ingestion or contact, it binds to glutamate-gated chloride channels in the insect's nervous system. This causes rapid paralysis of mouthparts pests stop feeding within hours. The insect becomes fully paralyzed and dies within 2–4 days.
Its translaminar movement allows it to penetrate leaf tissues and reach pests hidden on the underside of leaves or inside plant tissue including stem borers and fruit borers that are not visible from outside.

The standard dose is 0.4 g per litre of water. For heavy bollworm pressure in cotton, use 0.5 g per litre. For a 15-litre knapsack pump, use 6 g per tank.
The dose is 80–100 g per acre for most crops. For cotton, use 76–88 g per acre. For okra, use 54–68 g per acre. Always refer to the product label for crop-specific doses.
It controls fruit borers, bollworms, pink bollworm, diamondback moth, pod borers, leaf folders, stem borers, thrips, and leaf-eating caterpillars on a wide range of crops.
