Product Description
Liquid vs Powder Why Choose Liquid?
Trichoderma viride is available in both powder and liquid form. Both have the same friendly fungus. But the liquid form has 5 big practical advantages:
- Easy to mix: Just shake the bottle and pour into water. No lumps. No clumps
- Even spray: Mixes fully in water. Spray comes out uniform
- No dust during handling: Safer for the farmer's eyes, nose, and skin
- Better for power sprayers: Liquid does not block nozzles like powder can
- Faster action: Liquid drops stick on roots and leaves, start working quickly
Most farmers using power sprayers, drip systems, or doing seed treatment in bulk prefer the liquid form. Powder is good for soil mix with FYM. See the powder version here.
What Diseases Does It Stop?
Trichoderma viride is a friendly fungus. It grows around plant roots and on soil. It directly attacks and kills harmful disease germs like Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, Pythium, Sclerotium, Phytophthora, and Macrophomina. It also strengthens plant roots and improves soil health.
Soil-Borne Diseases Controlled
- Root rot in tomato, chilli, brinjal, capsicum
- Damping off in nursery Seedlings fall and die
- Fusarium wilt in cotton, banana, gram, tomato
- Verticillium wilt in tomato, brinjal
- Collar rot in groundnut, chilli, soybean
- Stem rot in pulses, sunflower
- Charcoal rot in soybean, sunflower
- Black scurf in potato
- Sclerotinia rot in vegetables
- Phytophthora root rot in citrus, papaya, pomegranate

Common Dose for All Crops
Same simple liquid dose works for all crops. Just shake the bottle and follow the chart below.
| Method | Dose | When & Why |
|---|---|---|
| Soil Application | 1–2 litres per acre (mix with FYM) |
At sowing or transplanting for wilt and rot control |
| Seed Treatment | 5–10 ml per kg seed (in 50 ml water) |
Before sowing protects seedlings |
| Drench (Standing Crop) | 5 ml per litre water OR 1–2 L in 200 L water/acre |
When plants droop or wilt |
| Root Dip (Seedlings) | 10 ml per litre water (dip 20–30 min) |
Before transplanting |
| Foliar Spray | 3–5 ml per litre water | For preventive protection on leaves |
| Drip Irrigation | 1–2 L in 100–200 L water/acre | For plantation crops, fruit orchards, drip-fed vegetables |
| Fruit Tree Application | 50–100 ml per plant (mix with FYM) |
Apply near root zone, every 3–4 months |
How to Use Step by Step
1. Soil Application (Most Common)
Take 1 to 2 litres per acre. Mix with 50 to 100 kg of well-rotted gobar khaad (FYM) or vermicompost. Sprinkle some water to keep mixture moist. Cover with wet sack and keep in shade for 5 to 7 days. Then spread in field at sowing or transplanting time.
2. Seed Treatment
Take 5 to 10 ml per kg of seed. Mix with 50 ml of water. Coat seeds well. Dry in shade for 20 to 30 minutes. Sow within 24 hours.
3. Drench for Standing Crops
Mix 5 ml per litre of water. Pour around the base of plants. For full acre mix 1 to 2 litres in 200 litres water and drench. Repeat after 15 days if disease continues.
4. Root Dip Before Transplanting
Mix 10 ml per litre of water. Dip seedling roots for 20 to 30 minutes. Then transplant. Best for tomato, chilli, brinjal, paddy nurseries.
5. Foliar Spray (Preventive)
Mix 3 to 5 ml per litre of water. Spray on full plant in early morning or late evening. Avoid hot afternoon sun. Use within 4 hours of mixing.
6. Drip Irrigation
Mix 1 to 2 litres in 100 to 200 litres water. Pass through drip system in cool hours. Best for fruit orchards, plantation crops, and high-value vegetables.
When to Use
- At sowing or transplanting (preventive best result)
- Before monsoon when soil moisture rises
- In fields with last year's wilt, root rot, or damping off
- In nurseries with damping-off problem
- 30 to 35 days after sowing as preventive booster
- Year-round in fruit orchards and plantation crops
- For organic farming and IPM crop programs
How Does It Work?
Trichoderma viride is a smart friendly fungus. It works in 4 ways at the same time:
- Mycoparasitism: Directly attacks harmful disease fungi eats them and dissolves their cell walls
- Competition: Grabs space and food in the root zone before disease germs can
- Antibiosis: Produces natural antibiotics that kill disease germs
- Plant defence boost: Wakes up the plant's own immune system
Bonus benefits it also solubilises phosphorus and micronutrients in soil, decomposes organic matter, and improves overall soil health. Plants grow faster with stronger roots and better yield.
