Deltamethrin 11% EC is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide in emulsifiable concentrate form. It controls sucking pests, chewing insects, and boring pests in cotton, paddy, chilli, tomato, brinjal, okra, pulses, and oilseeds. It acts through contact and stomach action, delivering fast knockdown of active pest populations within hours of spraying.
The 11% EC formulation provides higher active ingredient concentration per litre compared to standard 2.5% and 2.8% deltamethrin formulations, meaning lower product volume per acre with equivalent or stronger pest control.

Water volume: 200 litres per acre for foliar spray. Mixing tip: Add EC formulation to half-filled sprayer tank, agitate well, then fill to full volume. Repeat interval: Every 10–15 days based on pest pressure. Maximum sprays per season: 2–3 rotate with a different IRAC group after each cycle.
Deltamethrin is a Type II synthetic pyrethroid that acts on voltage-gated sodium channels in the insect nervous system. It binds to sodium channels and keeps them open, causing continuous nerve firing, convulsions, paralysis, and death. This mechanism produces rapid knockdown pests stop feeding and fall within minutes to hours of contact.
Unlike systemic insecticides, deltamethrin works primarily through direct contact and ingestion. Thorough spray coverage is therefore critical for maximum efficacy. It has no systemic uptake into plant tissue pests must contact the treated surface or ingest treated plant material to be controlled.

Important: Highly toxic to bees do not spray during flowering or when bees are active. Highly toxic to fish and aquatic organisms do not spray near water bodies. Pre-harvest interval (PHI): 7 days for vegetables, 14 days for cotton and paddy, 10 days for pulses. Wear gloves, mask, goggles, and full-sleeve clothing during application. Do not mix with alkaline compounds. Store in cool, dry place away from food, feed, and livestock.
The dose is 0.5 ml of Deltamethrin 11% EC per litre of water. For per-acre application, use 100–150 ml in 200 litres of water.

Deltamethrin 11% EC has a much higher active ingredient concentration 11% vs 2.5%. This means you need a significantly lower product volume per acre with the 11% EC formulation for equivalent pest control. The EC form also provides faster initial knockdown due to the oil-based carrier.
Contact knockdown starts within hours of spraying. Pests stop feeding almost immediately after contact with treated surfaces. Residual protection on the crop canopy lasts 7–10 days depending on rainfall and temperature.
