Product Description

Krishikranti Gibber+ Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP (Plant Growth Regulator)

Technical: Gibberellic Acid (GA₃) Formulation: 0.186% SP CIB & RC Registered Primary Crop: Cotton Dose: 25g / 15L water

Krishikranti Gibber+ is a plant growth regulator containing Gibberellic Acid (GA₃) at 0.186% in Soluble Powder (SP) formulation. It is registered with CIB & RC, India, primarily for cotton crop use.

It promotes cell division and elongation, improves boll size in cotton, enhances fruit set in vegetables, breaks seed dormancy, and boosts yield across major field and horticulture crops.

The SP formulation dissolves completely in water for uniform foliar coverage and has a longer shelf life than liquid GA₃ products.

Always refer to the product label for state-specific registration status before use.

Crop	Key Benefit	Recommended Growth Stage
Cotton (Primary)	Improves boll size, fibre quality & flower retention	Pre-flowering & boll development
Paddy (Rice)	Enhances stem elongation and grain setting	Tillering to panicle initiation
Sugarcane	Promotes internode elongation and cane yield	Early vegetative stage
Tomato	Reduces fruit drop; improves fruit set and size	Flowering to fruit set
Brinjal (Eggplant)	Improves fruit size and reduces flower drop	Flowering stage
Okra (Bhendi)	Promotes pod elongation and uniform growth	Vegetative to flowering
Groundnut	Improves peg formation and pod yield	Pre-peg initiation
Banana	Promotes bunch development and fruit size	Bunch emergence
Potato	Breaks seed dormancy; promotes uniform sprouting	Pre-planting / seed treatment
Cabbage / Cauliflower	Promotes head development and uniform maturity	Early vegetative stage
Other Vegetables & Fruits	General growth promotion; improved fruit quality	As per crop stage — refer to label

Dose of Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP: How Much to Use

Application Method	Water Volume	Dose of Gibber+
Foliar Spray Per Knapsack Pump	15 Litres	25 grams
Foliar Spray Per Acre	150 – 200 Litres	250 grams
Foliar Spray Per Litre of Water	1 Litre	0.2 – 0.3 grams

Important: Do not exceed the recommended dose. Over-application causes excessive vegetative growth and reduces fruiting. Crop-specific doses may vary — always refer to the product label.

How to Apply : Spray Method & Timing

Dissolve the powder first
Measure the dose and dissolve in a small amount of water to make a concentrate. Pour into knapsack sprayer, fill to volume, and stir until no lumps remain.
Spray during cool hours only
Apply before 9 AM or after 5 PM. Afternoon heat causes rapid evaporation and reduces plant absorption significantly.
First spray : pre-flowering stage
For cotton, apply when 50–70% of flowers have opened. For vegetables, spray at early flowering. Cover canopy uniformly including the underside of leaves.
Second spray : fruit set stage (if needed)
Apply 10–14 days after the first spray at boll or fruit set stage. Do not exceed two sprays per season unless the label permits.
Ensure adequate soil moisture before spraying
Do not spray on drought-stressed crops. Adequate moisture improves uptake and crop response.
Check compatibility before tank mixing
Generally compatible with most pesticides and fertilisers. Always do a jar test first. Avoid formulations above pH 8 — GA₃ degrades in alkaline conditions.

Mode of Action: How Gibberellic Acid Works

GA₃ binds to plant cell receptors and activates hydrolytic enzymes, releasing stored energy for rapid cell division and elongation. Key plant responses:

Seed germination : breaks dormancy by activating enzyme pathways
Stem elongation : increases internode length in stems and shoots
Flower induction : stimulates flowering and improves flower retention
Fruit development : improves fruit set and size; reduces flower and fruit drop
Delays leaf senescence : extends photosynthetic activity period
Protein and enzyme synthesis : regulates gene expression for sustained growth

Frequently Asked Questions : Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP

What is Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP used for?

Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP is a plant growth regulator used to improve crop growth, fruit size, and yield. It is primarily registered for cotton in India to improve boll size and fibre quality. It is also widely used on vegetables, fruits, and field crops for better flowering, fruit set, and seed germination.

What is the dose of Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP per acre?

The general dose is 250 grams per acre. For foliar spray, mix 25 grams in 15 litres of water (one knapsack pump). The per-litre rate is 0.2 to 0.3 grams per litre. Always check the product label for crop-specific dosage.

On which crops can I use Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP?

It is primarily registered for cotton in India. It is also widely used on paddy, sugarcane, tomato, brinjal, okra, groundnut, banana, potato, cabbage, cauliflower, and other vegetables and fruit crops. Refer to the product label for confirmed registrations in your state.

When should I spray Gibberellic Acid on cotton?

First spray: when 50–70% of flowers have opened (pre-flowering stage). Second spray if needed: at boll development stage, 10–14 days after the first. Always spray during cool morning or evening hours for best absorption.

Is Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP safe for vegetables?

Yes. Gibberellic Acid is a naturally occurring plant hormone and is safe for vegetables at the recommended dose. Overdosing causes tall, weak plants with reduced fruiting. Do not exceed 0.2–0.3 grams per litre. Follow label instructions.

What is the difference between Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP and 0.001% L?

Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP is a concentrated soluble powder measure a small dose (25g per 15L) with a longer shelf life. The 0.001% L is a pre-diluted liquid requiring a larger volume per application. Both contain GA₃. Choose based on registered crop, formulation preference, and local availability.

Can I mix Gibberellic Acid 0.186% SP with other agrochemicals?

It is generally compatible with most pesticides and fertilisers. Always do a jar compatibility test before tank mixing. Avoid mixing with highly alkaline formulations above pH 8 — gibberellic acid degrades in alkaline conditions and loses effectiveness.
